Industrial & Manufacturing
Industrial and logistics sites combine vast roof areas with heavy daytime demand, which is exactly where commercial solar pays back fastest — provided the roof can carry it and the grid connection allows it.
Warehousing, distribution and manufacturing sites are the strongest natural fit for commercial solar: vast roof spans and heavy, steady daytime demand from process loads, refrigeration and materials handling. Used on site rather than exported, that generation pays back fastest.
The constraints are structural and electrical — whether an ageing roof can carry the array, and whether the grid connection has headroom for the system you want. We assess both before you commit, and appraise car-park solar canopies (which pair generation with shading and EV charging) where roof space is limited.
Challenges we help with
- Roof age, sheeting type and structural loading limits on large spans
- Grid-connection capacity and half-hourly demand charges
- Car-park and yard areas suited to solar canopies with EV charging
How we help
- Assess structural loading and roof condition before any commitment
- Size the system to maximise self-consumption against your process load
- Appraise rooftop and car-park canopy options, including EV-charging integration

Our roof is large but old — is solar still viable?
Possibly, but roof age and sheet type set the loading limit. We assess structural capacity first; sometimes the answer is to re-roof and add solar together, or to use a car-park canopy instead.
We have high daytime demand — does that help?
It's ideal. The more of your generation you use on site rather than export, the faster solar pays back — a heavy daytime process load is the best-case profile.
