Portfolio Optimisation

When you have dozens of sites, the question isn't 'does solar work here?' It's 'which sites first, and how do we deliver consistently?' We rank an estate by viability and return, then sequence the roll-out. We also set the standards that keep quality and cost under control at scale.

Across an estate, the hard question isn't whether solar works on any one building. It's which buildings to do first, how to fund a programme, and how to keep quality consistent across dozens of installs. Treating each site as a one-off wastes both capital and management time.

We screen and rank the whole portfolio by return and deliverability. Then we sequence a roll-out around your capital budgets and lease events. We also set standard specifications and framework procurement, so we deliver every site to one standard. That gives you a single view of generation and savings across the estate.

Standardisation pays off in benchmarking too. With cost data across dozens of sites, an outlier quote is easy to spot. UK commercial rooftop solar typically costs roughly £700-£1,200 per kWp, tightening toward £800/kWp or less at scale. So a quote well outside that range is easy to query before anyone signs it off, rather than after.

Where several sites are pursuing grid connections at once, we sequence G99 applications for all of them. We also track each site's position against its DNO's queue and Ofgem's ongoing grid-connection reforms. A portfolio roll-out plan is only as reliable as its weakest connection date. Sites in different DNO regions can see genuinely different timescales for what looks like the same job on paper.

Frequently asked questions

We have dozens of sites — where do we start?

We screen and rank the whole estate by return and deliverability, then sequence a roll-out so capital goes to the strongest sites first.

Can you standardise delivery across sites?

Yes. We set common specifications and framework procurement so you get one consistent standard rather than a different install at every site.
