We're a national commercial solar consultancy. Our job is to answer the hard questions honestly and manage the decision well — with no product to sell you and no bias in the advice.
Who we are
Solar Strategies is an independent commercial solar consultancy. We advise UK businesses, property developers and public-sector organisations on whether — and how — to invest in solar, and we manage the process from first question to switch-on and beyond. We are a national advisory practice, not a local installer, and we don't sell or install a single panel.
That independence is deliberate. It means the only thing we bring to a project is judgement, and the only interest we serve is yours.
What we do
We cover the full arc of a commercial solar decision: feasibility studies to test viability, energy and ROI modelling to build the business case, procurement and tender support to buy well, PPA and financing advice to fund it, portfolio optimisation to prioritise across an estate, and net-zero strategy to place solar within a wider decarbonisation plan.
You can engage us for the whole programme or a single stage — a feasibility study, a second opinion on a power purchase agreement, or a tender that needs running properly.
How we're different
The market is full of two kinds of 'consultant': installers who dress a sales survey up as advice, and large engineering firms for whom solar is a minor side-line. We are neither. Solar Strategies is a solar specialist and a pure advisory practice — no hardware, no commission, no installation arm.
Because of that, our feasibility work can recommend against a scheme, our procurement is run purely in your interest, and our numbers are built on your own data rather than a supplier's optimistic defaults.
How we work with you
We operate across England, Scotland and Wales, working remotely and on site as each project needs. Enquiries come in by web form or email and we reply, usually within one working day, to arrange an initial consultation — there's no call centre and no cold-calling.
An initial conversation is free and carries no obligation. From there, we scope the work clearly so you know exactly what you're getting and why.
Our standards
We don't fabricate figures, savings, payback claims or client credentials. Every number we present is grounded in your data and stated assumptions, and every recommendation is written to survive scrutiny from a board, an auditor or an investment committee.
