Mr B approached us at the end of 2012. He had an East/West facing roof with no shading. The survey concluded that there was not sufficient space on the east facing roof to split the panels equally. We therefore suggested that he use both East, West and the Smaller South Facing roofs. An SMA string inverter has a maximum of 2 MPP trackers which means the inverter can cope with 2 different orientations, but Mr B had 3. We opted to use Enecsys micro inverters with the Enecsys on-line monitoring. Each of the panels has its own inverter making the system very efficient. We designed a bespoke 10.0kW system using a ballasted flat panel array. A 3 phase SMA Tri-power was fitted to maximise generation.
